Carré de Vie

Artist residency, 2019 - 2020

Thanks to the invitation of Artelozera and the financing of DRAC Occitanie, the research-creation residency took place on the Lake of Castelnau-Lassouts, at the Carré de Vie during October 24 - November 7, 2019. The artistic intervention gave place of a workshop in a public school of the area in 2020.

Autonomous in terms of energy, with an ecological sanitation system, the Carré de Vie is an eco-built space par excellence. Habitable module designed to be in symbiosis with nature having the least impact, the Carré de vie uses exclusively renewable energy sources. Designed by architect-designer Jacques Pierrejean and by Frédéric Boissière, builder of timber frame houses, the project has emerged thanks to the Mixte Union of Castelnau Lassouts Lous at Sainte-Eulalie d’Olt, the Tourism Aveyron, the Departmental Council, the Ad'Occ Agency, the Region of Aveyron, the CGET, and the EDF Agency "a river, a territory" and the EU grants.
